Introduction  
In the modern world, spams have flooded the internet through which the intention has been forcing the massage to the people that are unwilling to accept them. The spam usually does not initially cost the sender but this cost is usually met by the recipient or the carrier. This essay looks at the effects of the internet spam to the society.
Effects of unsolicited email
The depression resulting from the use of the spam to the recipient is basically drawn from the fact that the recipient is usually affected in temporally and monetary terms. To these recipient, the time that an internet service provider (ISP) take in the spam processing usually results in dragging all the mails that are incoming; which results in the waste of money and time especially for the recipient that have to pay for the access of the internet. The spam has also been highlighted to have effects of; filling the inbox of the recipient with numerous messages that are ridiculous, degrading the speed of the internet to some extent, robbing the user of some of the information that is vital such as the contact list details together with altering the senders search engine results (Janet et al 668). Basically, spam usually waste the time to the sender and the recipient which can sometime be very frustrating and depressing if a recipient deals with a lot of messages like these.

To the senders, when the unsent emails do get back to them, it usually results in blocking the port of the email. As a result, it actually becomes impossible for these victims to receive massage in addition to the sender getting a message of delivery failure.
